Abstract :
The tag antennas are key factors in RFID systems as their performance show significant effect on the reading range and detection accuracy of an RFID system. In this paper the fractal Hilbert and Minkowski curves were selected for the design of tag antennas. Both configurations besides the advantage of realization of printed elements with small size, offer the capability of controlling their input impedance which is major advantage when matching the antenna to the chip. Fractally configured antennas of this type providing long read distance were designed, analyzed and are proposed.
