  • Abstract
This paper preliminarily discusses land potential in regional land use based on the relative factors. In terms of system, predominance in a regional land quality, land circumstance and geographical location is called regional land potential. Among these factors, the geographical location is decisive factor to land potential. Land potential will follow the law of conservation of energy, that is, the potential increasing in a region will decreasing in other regions. Drive force for the transformation of the potential comes from both the nature and the society. It conduces to carry out regional functional orientation of land use and sustainable development.
