Abstract
Existing robust stability results based on the ν-gap metric can be extended by the introduction of various weighting functions. By appropriately specialising these weighting functions it is possible to recover earlier robust stability results based on additive, multiplicative and inverse multiplicative uncertainty models. In this tray it is demonstrated that some of these classical robustness conditions are a special case of the extended ν-gap robust stability tests
