Abstract :
The paper deals with the basis and application of the method of matrix functions to the study of finite and semi-infinite periodic sequences of metal-dielectric scatterers in a longwave approach. The regimes of forced and natural oscillations are considered. Models of a large number of field forming systems are presented.
