Abstract :
Human crawling was studied as a model of crutch assisted walking. It was hypothesized that similar rhythmic reciprocal movements of arms and legs occur in both types of locomotion. The most relevant difference was found in the existence of the unstable states occurring during the locomotion on hands and knees, while the crutch walking was statically stable
