Abstract :
In this paper the characteristics of the mobile channel on the example of car and train communications are investigated. A 3D ray-tracing tool is used to simulate the channel of high-speed mobiles with different typical environments and is verified by measurements. Finally, channel modeling turns out to be a key for the efficient use of bandwidth in future communications systems.
