Abstract :
This paper studies on the hot papers of clinical medicine field based on ESI (Essential Scientific Indicator) database, from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 2008. The data about these 324 papers are analyzed by the authors from the aspects of publishing time, country/territory, institution, journal, and so on. In order to discover the hotspots in the clinical medicine field in the global world, the methods of multi-dimension analysis, cluster analysis, pajek visualization are used and 54 pieces of papers are chosen based on citation of the 324 papers. The result shows that cancer is the research hotspot, and the correlativity of the title in the clinical medicine field in the global world can be shown by the cluster analysis. This study provides information for the researchers and scholars in the clinical medicine field, significant and specifically functional to them.
