Abstract
For the first time the paper is to make mechanism analysis on impact the M&A makes on labor demand in China from three aspects: firstly, from the perspective of the Relations of M&A, Economic Growth and Employment, we conclude that the M&A will have different impacts on labor demand from the short to long terms; secondly, from the perspective of M&A Motive, the impacts of M&A on labor demand vary from different motives; thirdly, from the perspective of different types of M&A, different types of M&A have different impacts on labor demand. Specifically, it is classified into the mechanism analysis of the impact of horizontal M&A on labor demand, the impact of vertical M&A on labor demand, and mixed-effects of M&A on labor demand.
