  • Abstract
    Factors defining the rubidium frequency standard stability are discussed. Using a cell with volume of 1 cubic cm, cell-filter with volume of 0.5 cubic cm and lamp with volume of 0.2 cubic cm, it is possible to realize high quality characteristics for a discriminator and the frequency standard as a whole. The volume of the rubidium-cell frequency standard can be reduced up to the value less than 200 cubic cm while maintaining reasonably high accuracy characteristics.<>
