Abstract :
Portable sleep monitoring has an increasing demand due to the increasing amount of sleep disorder patients. The HRV and sleep posture changed with different sleep stages. This paper therefore proposed a portable sleep monitoring system based on ECG and accelerator signals. This system contained single ECG sensor and a tri-axis accelerator sensor, with microcontroller MSP430 for low power analog-to-digital conversion, and signals transmitted through embedded Bluetooth chip. Remote monitoring of sleep posture and ECG was implemented in a Labview based interface.
