Abstract
Two methods are considered to reduce the cost of large electromagnetic problems. The first is an approach to evaluate integrals associated with the method of moments in such a way that the number of quadrature points depends only on the desired accuracy and not on the frequency. In the second method, it is shown that EM problems involving metallic bodies coated with low-contrast dielectrics may be accurately solved with the same cost as metal-only problems by modifying the potentials associated with the electric field integral equation.
