Abstract
Age affects people´s ideologies and behaviors. People in different ages have various online behavioral tendencies. This paper explores age differences in a tagging community. We developed a model of age differences and performed a relationship study between user´s age and tagging behavior. Data analysis is demonstrated into three research aspects: tagging enthusiasm, tagging objects and tag words. Our results are consistent with theories of sociology in age effects. Our findings suggest new opportunities and applications for analyzing users´ online behaviors and provide proper tag suggestions.
