Abstract
The stratagem of sustainable development challenges the traditional construction project management objectives. The author does a qualitative investigation aiming at practices of Chongqing´s local project management, various passive influences on environment arising from construction activities are identified. This paper points out that the traditional construction project management only focus on cost, time and quality but neglect environmental protection, and it agrees to the idea of adding environmental management into project management objectives. Some suggestions that project´s environment objective can be implemented by enhancing external supervise and driving internal environmental management are put forward.
