Abstract :
Large computing systems are the backbones of most large international corporations´ computing power in all areas of critical applications; their reliability and availability without question are of utmost importance to all computer centers. The large systems due to their shear size pose a unique challenge to EMC designers in dealing with the spider-web-like network of system cables (antenna arrays) exposed to potential hostile EMC threats. In the paper the techniques and considerations going into EMC design of large computing systems are discussed
