Abstract
The radiation from common-mode current of a clock strip is higher than other arranged strips on a printed circuit board (PCB). The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of a PCB is affected seriously if the clock strip on the PCB is arranged unsuitably. Using electric dipole models, a method for analyzing and modeling the electromagnetic radiation of the common-mode current in a clock strip on PCB is presented in this paper. The theoretically recommended value to keep the shortest distance from a clock strip to other strips on PCB and the reference frequencies to think of the maximum radiation are given when a PCB is designed
