Abstract :
The analytical relations for determination of cathode surface field-emission parameters of field amplification factor β and work function φ from experiments of vacuum breakdown delay time have been obtained. Field amplification factor is shown to take minimal value β=1 at critical electrical field Eσ=1.32×10 10 V/m. Vacuum breakdown delay time corresponding to critical field is determined by cathode material physical constants
