Abstract :
The objectives of this paper are (a) to describe a passive acoustic thermo-tomographic imaging method for volumetric maps of temperature distribution in living tissue for use in noninvasive control of tissue temperature during radiofrequency heating of tumor tissue, (b) to illustrate this method by computer simulation and in laboratory tests on phantoms.
