Abstract :
A novel concept stemming from the coplanar waveguide (CPW) technique is proposed for wideband dielectric measurement in the frequency range up to millimeter-waves. The new approach uses surface fields of the coupled CPW slots which interact dynamically with lossless or highly lossy material under test. In this work, some preliminary theoretical and experimental results indicate a promising wideband sensibility for different material samples, thereby giving rise to a new possibility in dielectric measurement.<>
