Abstract :
Many cardiac diseases are highly correlated to cardiac dynamic mechanics and dynamic parameter, so understanding the mechanics of heart is crucial for clinical research, diagnosis and patient care. This paper proposes a novel point distribution model (PDM) to describe the motional mechanics of heart and defines a new parameter named movement extent of myocardium (MEM) to analyze the local movement. The motion path of key points of PDM in a cardiac cycle was recovered via spline interpolation, and the results were used to estimate the velocity, acceleration of key points and MEM. By comparison, we can obtain the physical dynamic mechanics of the heart, and the deformation level of myocardium used to tell the pathological from the normal heart. More important is that the results can be used to judge the abnormal ones in early stage of disease from complex deformation of the myocardium.
