Abstract :
We demonstrated second harmonic generation from a 1560 nm DFB laser using a KNbO/sub 3/ crystal. The 780 nm beam was used to interrogate a Rb line and lock the DFB laser frequency. We devised a setup to observe a saturated absorption profile which should be used to improve the frequency control.<>
