Abstract :
In this study, the SAR comparison of using a mobile phone at two different frequencies (900 MHz and 1.8 GHz) in the close proximity to a metal wall have been accomplished. For each operating frequency, the distance between the antenna and a metal wall was increased. Also, a high-resolution human head model which was created by MRI-scan has been located, 1 cm next to the antenna. Regarding the main study the researchers used finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation to examine a heating effect from using a mobile phone at two frequencies near a metal wall. Furthermore, the perfectly matched layer (PML) was utilized to act as an absorbing layer and was backed by perfect electric conductors. As a result, SAR 1-g and SAR 10-g which derived from the simulations suggest that using a mobile phone at various proximity or distance to a metal wall is not harmful to its user. Interestingly, the simulations which were operated at 1.8 GHz give both SAR values lower than those operated at 900 MHz
