  • Abstract
    The numerical value of the Newtonian gravitational constant has been determined using cylindrically shaped masses and a static torsion balance with electrostatic compensation of the gravitational induced forces. The experimental set-up is described and the results are announced. There is a surprising deviation from the CODATA value.<>
