Abstract :
The first textile monopole antenna design based on a zip at 2.5GHz is presented. Return loss and radiation pattern measurements are used to characterize a manufactured prototype. The obtained bandwidth and radiation characteristics make the zip antenna proper to be used for WiFi applications in the band from 2.4GHz to 2.7GHz. In addition, this novel design exhibits the advantage of being easily tunable.
