Abstract :
A method of emergency control which considers load-shedding and overload control is proposed. The inclusion of frequency falls occurring simultaneously with overloads is used for the analysis. System overload concept is used for computer definition of generation rescheduling and interarea power transfers. Results of simulation in a small sample system show good response in interarea power transfer partial recovery and frequency improvement. This effect may be helpful in a reduction of load-shedding in some instances with the consequent improvement of the security of service during emergencies
