  • Abstract
Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a group of transitory wireless hosts constructed without any existing infrastructure which is able to self-organize and route packets. It is the best solution for situation where installation of infrastructure is not feasible. MANET can find many applications due to its ease of deployment. However, one of the most challenging problems of MANET is QoS (Quality of Service) provision. Applications requiring guaranteed QoS are expected to be one of the major sources of traffic over next generation wireless networks including MANETs. These applications have stringent multiple QoS requirements, namely bandwidth, delay, jitter, packet delivery ratio, etc. To address this problem, we propose a method for multi constrained QoS routing with a novel approach in feasible path selection procedure for MANET. We compare the performances of our proposed algorithm with the conventional OLSR protocol. It is found that our proposed algorithm performs better than OLSR for higher offered loads with occasional improvement in lower offered loads.
