Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe a novel method for losses computation in the surface mounted magnets of synchronous machines with non-overlapping concentrated windings. That method can be applied as well as in the case of non-jointed magnets than in the case of edge-to-edge magnets forming a continuous ring.
