Abstract
This paper is focused on the influence of the inhomogeneous and anisotropic conductivity of white matter on magnetic and electric field distribution. The simulation is performed on a realistic human head with five-layer tissues. The results show that the magnetic flux density measurement is more similar in sensitivity with the conductivity perturbation than the potential measurement. Some electric impedance techniques for human head tissues using measured boundary voltage values or magnetic field information could be better understood based on the quantified analysis.
