Abstract :
Based on the study of output data characteristics of storm surge forecast model and existing scientific data visualization methods of these data, this paper carries on a preliminary study on the WebGis-based storage and visualization of these data, and designs and implements a storm surge disaster visualization web application system based on sphere. This system provides a more intuitionistic method to understand the whole process of storm surge disaster with three-dimensional virtual scenes for customers, and helps people to make disaster-assisted analysis and decisions. In the system structure design, general computer environment, network transmission capacity and efficiency of resource allocation between server and client have been comprehensively considered. The whole work has been assigned to server and client. In this system, an image grading browsing technology has been used for visualization optimization. Finally, the effectiveness of this system is verified with Taiwan Strait storm surge forecast model output data.
