Abstract :
The results of measurement of absolute shifts of recoil doublet components due to the influence of second-order Doppler effect, and mutual influence of their wings has been reported. Measurements were carried out using the unique laser spectrometer on the wavelength of 3.39 /spl mu/m with resolution of 10/sup -13/, and the optical clock. New results of absolute frequency measurements of 7-6 F/sub 2//sup (2)/ P(7)/spl nu//sub 3/-transition of methane with accuracy of 10/sup -13/ are presented. Possibility of increasing accuracy of these measurements to 10/sup -14/ been discussed.<>
