Abstract :
Scattering of waves at periodically modulated high reflecting surfaces possess pecularities if the diffraction spectra is close to grazing propagation. In this report new results concerning total suppression of specular reflection (TSSR) effect are presented. Let us suppose that a plane p-polarized wave falls at the impedance grating of arbitrary form in the simplest geometry, i.e. the grating grooves are perpendicular to the plane of incidence. The performance of the corresponding electrodynamical problem, designations and details of the calculation method are briefly discussed
