Abstract
Efficient numerical procedures for evaluating the gradient of Helmholtz-type potentials are presented. The convergence behavior of both normal and tangential components of the gradient is examined. Special attention is given to cases in which the observation point is near an edge of the source element, and methods for handling these cases are presented.
