Abstract :
Time delay estimation (TDE) is an important topic in multichannel signal processing, which has been widely used for global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs), wideband direction of arrival (DOA) estimation, tracking and localization. In this paper, we propose an efficient and low-complexity interpolation based two-step TDE method. The optimum time delay is obtained by interpolation using three points and grid search is not required. Computer simulations show that its performance is comparable to the Cramér-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) and outperforms two existing methods in terms of running time.
