Abstract
The authors report on the applications of a well established database management system to data manipulation, presentation, revisions and updates. The database relates to both grid and primary substation, weekly demand information, system daily load information for short-term forecasting objectives, statistical faults report for reliability evaluation of power systems, generation and transmission data for system performance studies. Additional provision is made to include substation equipment inventory data to aid network reinforcement planning objectives
