Abstract
This report presents an analysis that gives an answer about the relation between air quality in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara and the aerosols. The data were obtained from a terrestrial remote sensing instrument which provide the maximum voltage of sunlight received. This voltage is needed to calculate the aerosols optical thickness (AOT). The instrument has two channels that measure aerosols depending on its wavelength. The AOT is needed to calculate the solar intensity received after the interaction with the natural aerosols and aerosols generated by industrial and urban areas and its relation with the air quality indicators proportionated from ministry of environment for sustainable development of Jalisco.
