Abstract
A design method for a load frequency adaptive controller is presented considering the time-delay. Using the recursive extended least squares method combined with the F-testing method, a new strategy of identifying the CARMA model for load frequency control is developed. An adaptive controller with multistep predictor is designed. The control effects are validated on a simulation system. The computer result is encouraging
