Abstract :
The optically pumped Cs beam frequency standard under development in our laboratory was first evaluated in 1993. The short term stability was /spl sigma//sub y/(/spl tau/) is 5.5/spl middot/10/sup -13//spl tau//sup - 1/2 /. The accuracy has been estimated to 1.1/spl middot/10/sup -13/, mainly limited by the distributed phase shift. After modification of the cavity, a new evaluation is in progress and is presented.<>
