Abstract :
A new type of varactor, using newly developed dielectric LaTiOxNy thin films, for miniaturization and tunablity of antenna is introduced. Its behavior in large frequency band is studied. When integrated in a notch antenna design, the varactor significantly decreases the resonant frequency of the structure by 54% in respect to an antenna without varactor, and a tunablity of 8% is achieved.
