CMS options for creating electronic textbooks for agronomical subjects

The interest in distance learning (DL) in agronomic sciences, where students are in a place far from the teacher and communicate with each other via computer and other means of communication is growing fast. Thus distance learning becomes the most flexible and adaptable one to the budget of working people, (mother - raising their children, people living in remote locations, seasonal and timely work of farmers as well as the disabled and groups with special educational needs.) The teaching material used for Distance Learning shall be structured in such a form that allows studying at a distance. This led us to investigate the capabilities of the Content Management Systems (CMS) for creating electronic textbooks in agricultural sciences. The report discusses opportunities provided by modern CMS for creating electronic textbooks in the field of agricultural sciences.
