Abstract
In order to protect the sound and video reception of broadcast programmes, the reduction of radiated and conducted disturbance from electric and electronic equipment, receivers included, is not sufficient. The characteristics of receiver immunity to ambient fields and conducted disturbances should also be very well considered. Emission measurements are not easy, but immunity measurements are more difficult, because the measuring circuit, and in particular the connection to the auxiliary equipment, can influence the results. Therefore the lay-out of the interconnecting cables should be well defined and the measurement methods standardized
