Abstract :
It is difficult to measure the gain of long antenna for base station when a conventional pattern measurement system in anechoic chamber is used. In order to overcome this problem, a novel gain measurement method by using software compact range concept when the measurement distance in anechoic chamber is not sufficient has been proposed. In this paper, a novel technique using a short reference antenna on the gain measurement method for the evaluation of base station antenna is proposed.
