Abstract
An RF amplifier with a modified negative feedback which combines the feedforward and feedback topologies is presented. The amplifier offers a reduction in intermodulation distortion equal to the traditional negative feedback topology without the usual reduction in overall amplifier gain. The stability analysis of the amplifier shows that for narrow band amplifiers with minimum loop delay, the reduction of IM/sub 3/ can exceed 20 dB. An experimental circuit is shown and test results are given.<>
