Abstract :
In this paper, a hybrid power generation system suitable for Remote Island located in Alaska application is proposed. This system consists of two renewable energy sources, namely wind turbine and fuel cell. Also it is consist of diesel generator and battery. For the production and uniform supply of hydrogen for fuel cell, and electrolyzer and a reformer are also considered in the proposed system. An assessment has been proposed to provide continues power based on the economic power generation for preliminary analysis. The analysis of such hybrid system feeding a load center is carried out with application of HOMER software. Based on simulation result, it has been found that these renewable energy sources would be feasible solution for distributed generation of electric power for standalone application at remote location.
