Abstract
This work is based on fuzzy logic implementation for economical generation from multiple thermal units operating together to meet the load demand. Fuzzy logic gives qualitative system behavior description getting rid of using exact mathematical modeling. It provides the optimum solution by giving economical generation and minimum fuel cost for the individual generating unit. The study is consisting of 5 power plants along with 12 intervals for subdivision of daily load demand. The Numerical value of Total operating cost is produced by fuzzy approach considering individual generation constraints. This is done to understand the fuzzy logic and membership function concept to be implemented for the economic power generation from the individual thermal power plants.
