Abstract :
The 20 GHz/30 W TWTA is an on-board part of the communication equipment which has been conceived as a flexible element within different experiment and service demonstration; e.g. video-teleconference within two or more earth stations, tele-education, data and video transmissions. The TWTA design (Traveling-wave tube amplifier), described herein, has been designed by Selenia Spazio S.p.A. under a current ESA contract in the development of the Olympus program, the biggest advanced european program for telecommunications.
