Abstract :
Space-borne imaging systems are complex systems with a very wide spectrum of applications. They include not only the space segment that will acquire images, but also the ground segment that will plan the mission schedule, command the space segment and download and process the acquired data. This paper presents new methods that evaluate the mission performance of space-borne systems and that allow to optimize the design of such systems.
