Abstract :
In operational IP networks, it has been difficult to incorporate effective traffic engineering due to the limited capabilities of the IP technology. In this article we present two MPLS traffic engineering mechanism: congestion control model and path rerouting. FATE (fast acting traffic engineering) method is realized in the first model, which solves the problem of dynamically managing traffic flows through the network by re-balancing streams during periods of congestion. The analytical model of LSR, which estimates QoS parameters, is given in the paper. Using analytical formulas it was made on imitation network model and simulation results are presented
