  • Abstract
The electrical manufacturing industry has taken advantage of advances in material and manufacturing technology to provide cables and cable accessory systems for medium voltage cable systems that are more economical and reliable to install and operate. However, the industry has left the choice of both cables and accessory systems up to relatively untrained personnel such as contractors and electricians. While, there have been several papers presented by knowledgeable individuals within the industry to aid in the selection of cables, very little has been presented to aid in the choice of accessories. It is the purpose of this paper to address this issue.
