Abstract :
In this paper, a novel method to accurately solve the scattering problem in planar reflectarrays under an arbitrary excitation is proposed. The method is based on a discrete plane-wave expansion of the incident field on the reflectarray surface that allows an accurate computation of the reflected field. The accuracy of the proposed method to calculate the field reflected under a near or far-field excitation is compared with that provided by other techniques in the literature.
