Abstract :
This paper presents a comparison of two different photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) structures with wafer of two different materials. The structure with nematic liquid wafer has shown its superiority in communication application. However the structure with lead silicate wafer has found its application in sensor. Besides this confinement loss and normalized frequency for the proposed structures has also been studied.
