Abstract :
This paper presents an Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) used for the GPS standard (L1/L2). This AMC will then be used to design an antenna dedicated to be integrated in the clothes. The AMC cell is a double square patch stacked in textile substrate. The bandwidths of the presented cell are 5.1% and 4% respectively at 1.165 GHz and 1.593 GHz respectively, taken from -90° to 90° of phase. There is a good agreement between simulation and measurement. A wideband planar monopole is then placed over the surface. The radiation measurement shows an increase of the total gain of 2.5 dB in the normal direction of the antenna.
